ELDERWOOD

Before the Stormweaver, there was Elderwood.

An original animated fantasy series from Quest Animation following twelve-year-old Thorin Ravenwood through the village years that shaped the hero he will one day become.

The story

The world before the storm

Elderwood is the warm, family-centered beginning of the Ravenwood Universe. Thorin is still a boy. Ravenwood is still home. His days are filled with family, training, village festivals, forests, old stories, and ancient places whose secrets have not yet revealed themselves.

But beyond the familiar paths, something old is beginning to stir. Elderwood follows the years before the Stormweaver Saga — building the people, places, and memories that will later give Thorin something worth fighting for.

“This was the world. The only one I had ever known.”

From screen to world

Building Elderwood as a living real-time world

Quest Animation is expanding the production pipeline toward Unreal Engine so locations created for animation can become persistent environments that support cinematics, virtual production, and future interactive experiences.

Reusable environments

Ravenwood Village, forests, rivers, ruins, terrain, lighting, and weather can become production assets that continue to gain value across episodes instead of being rebuilt shot by shot.

Interactive storytelling

The same world can later become explorable, supporting a narrative Elderwood experience and creating the technical foundation for the more action-driven Thorin’s Quest.
